An Idaho Lawyer Working to Protecting Your Driver's License
There is more to a DUI arrest than just protecting your criminal record by going to court. You must also protect your driver's license as well. This is usually done through a DOT hearing if you failed a BAC test or a BAC hearing before a judge if you refused a BAC test.
At Berglund Law, PLLC, in Boise, Idaho, attorney Chris J. Berglund handles drunk driving defense cases as one complete package—she fights hard to defend you against criminal consequences in court and she also fight hard to protect your driver's licenses in Department of Transportation hearings. Both aspects of your case are handled for the same flat fee.

Losing Your Driver's License in Idaho
There are several reasons that you may face driver's license suspension in Idaho. For example, if you failed a breath test or if you refused to take the test at all, you risk losing your license.
If you have been arrested for DUI, you have seven days from the date of the arrest to schedule a BAC or ALS (automatic license suspension) hearing to request a hearing to protect your license. After that, your suspension starts in 30 days or automatically if you refused a BAC test.
As an experienced legal team, we may be able to raise many issues to protect your rights in these hearings. Additionally, either hearing allows us to see what evidence may be used in the criminal procedure and begin working to refute that evidence at trial.
